When YMCA of Southwest Florida and CoreSRQ made the decision to unite to create a stronger ‘Y’ for the region, they needed a communications partner. After months of preparation and confidential discussions, they were ready to share the news with their important stakeholders – employees, members, donors, partners, the media and the community. In the spirit of joining forces, Kecia Carroll partnered with a fellow communications consultant to develop the merger communications plan, messaging architecture and the many communications tools needed to support the rapidly moving unification process.
These two organizations were knit together not only by their mission and values, but through their shared story. Today they work as one organization touching the lives of individuals in their service area through programs that promote healthy living, youth development and social responsibility.
